Why if I was still able to, I would be buying Apple Inc. (AAPL)

So AAPL is reporting tonight.
My suggestion is that this is a buy the rumor sell the news earnings report, in full reverse of the normal way to play a mac-rumor, I personally believe that no matter what happens to AAPL, the stock will be up 5+% tommrow.
I personally have gotten out of this market, I need to make sure my money is safe, because i may not be able to take out student loans this upcoming semester.
The edge version of the Iphone could be a better product

Recently it has come out that the new 3G iPhones are cracking at stress points, such as near the volume buttons, the headphone jack, the power button, and the connection port and many of these phones were reported to spend the entire time the owners had them inside a padded case. The iPhone 3G has one very important difference in manufacturing process, the metal case that existed in the original iPhone has been replaced with a glossy plastic (which is why the 3G iPhone is available with a white or black backing), and this would be a benefit to the iPhone, as it makes it look good, however with the cases breaking Apple (AAPL) has had to replace thousands of iPhones.
This all got me thinking, what does the 3G iPhone really have on the original edge iPhone?
Speed: Yes when you’re out and about the 3G iPhone will load pages faster, roughly 3 times faster, but with modern web pages the load time of the iPhones is measured in seconds. However, both phones work on Wi-Fi, and load the same National Geographic page for the iPhone in 17 seconds according to apple, so if you are sitting around at home, 3G iPhones and a edge iPhones should connect just as fast.
Price: Yes, the 3G iPhone is only 199$ but you can find an edge iPhone for only $100 on eBay in fairly good shape. In addition to this, by some reports, the 3G iPhone can cost the average user over $500 more over the span of the payment plan than what the original would have cost.
Firmware: This is what makes the iPhones work, and they are the same on both, both phones will use the same incredibly entertaining applications.
Hackability: This is a concern to some users, as they may be on T-mobile. Apparently while they both have been successfully hacked to work on any network that uses sim cards (sorry Verizon users in the United States), however I have been told that for future updates it is also easier to hack the edge network iPhone.
GPS: The only real unavoidable advantage of the 3G iPhone in my opinion is the GPS, however in areas like New York with tons of reference points for its Google (GOOG) driven cell phone pinging technology, the edge iPhone technology usually gives a good enough location to figure out your location.
Overall, the only superiority the new iPhone has is when your out and about, but that may not be a good idea, because you might break it.
Apple (AAPL) , its a pop culture virus

Let me start this by saying Apple(aapl) is heading up to 240, that being said, NEVER BUY AN APPLE. A few months ago I would have suggested buying an apple, but now that everyone has started getting a frigging mac, and making my Iphone that i saved for months for, commonplace, now the sykes trigger has been activated. That is the moment Timothy Sykes gets into something, its no longer cool(I guess i have to stay out of blogging).
Now, i would be short this stock except for the fact that its like a plague. Everyone thinks “but its easier to use” NO IT ISNT, “but its more secure” NO IT ISNT ITS LESS TO BE HONEST IT TAKES LESS THAN 2 MINUTES TO COMPLETELY HACK A MAC, and dont get me started with how much the 3G Iphone’s are breaking.
Let me clarify, i love my iphone I just hate how everyone is getting apples now, so now as far as im concerned. IM A PC

If you shorted/stayed out of apple when i said to stay out of it because of the Iphone 3g not being as much as a driver as you thought it was, good job you just saved a bunch of money without even consulting a gekko.
Apple came out today confirming what i was saying.
Now would be the time to start coving your short into the selling tommrow, because there will be a sharp reversal.
I personally will be thinking of buying when the stock hits 135-130 depending on market conditions.

IM CALLING IT: The IPhone 3G will not do as well as expected

I was in Soho today working when I noticed something strange about the Apple Store, in that there was no lovable loser out in front of it with a tent or a flashlight or something. It appears that the level of dedication from Ifans is lacking and there may even be a huge problem with at&t limiting who change change from a regular Iphone to a 3g iphone.
Now this would normally be of no concern to me but for two reasons:
- I own an Iphone
- AAPL is a publically traded company and people read my blog because I talk about publically traded companies
With that in mind i will now proceed to laugh at all of the apple longs monday including my boss, Cody Willard. Now dont get me wrong, i am not at the position of saying short apple tommrow, far from it, i am just saying it may be a good idea to keep out of the stock till maybe Tuesday or Wed. of next week as i am expecting a drop in Apple Inc. (AAPL) share prices in the meantime.
Anne Hathaway Has a Dirty Mouth

So I had to get an iphone repaired today, and I went to the Soho apple store, and what do you know, there is a sign there saying that they were going to have [[Steve Corell]] and [[Anne Hathaway]] talk about [[Get Smart]] and show some clips.
So after 3 hours waiting in the pouring New York rain, I finally got inside to see, and after a quick little legal stick they Introduce the moderator (who even the employees didnt know about ahead of time), Steven Colbert. Immediately he invites on Steve Corell and they go into what must be a thirty minute shtick, one of the highlights of which was when they both started singing the national anthem in harmony, eventually standing up.
Inviting Anne Hathaway on stage, Steven Colbert took the time to call Ms. Hathaway ugly, noting that in every last movie she had been in so far, she had always started them as “ugly” and ending up “beautiful” this joke was accentuated by the fact that Ms. Hathaway was giving the jokes back just as well as the two comedic geniuses next to her.
In this, Steven Colbert asked her to repeat to the audience the dirty joke she told during filming that made both Steve Corell and Dwane “The Rock” Johnson blush, joking with her about having to ask her publicist first, which she didn’t. She then immediately warned the entire audience of the impending joke that went as such.

The moral of this story, Anne Hathaway has a dirty mouth.
